Clubs and organizations at Pomona college are easy to get involved in, in fact, it is almost expected of you to join one at some point. The college, for example, offers free music or vocal lessons to their students if they are so inclined.
If you're into music, you an join an ensemble fairly easily. If you like photography, there's a bouncing scene and it might behoove you to look into working for the college's local newspaper and magazine scene(which just so happen to be great sources of information during the school year). The Theater department puts on productions every so often. Getting involved with sports is trivial(our teams aren't very good... But go Sagghens!).
A quarter of our students are involved in varsity sports, and hundreds more in intramural and club sports. Cycling, fencing, lacrosse, soccer, billiards, are all fairly simple to start with at the college, despite how intimidating they may usually sound.
One of the clubs I definitely want to join, however, would be this club called On the Loose. Primarily organizes outdoor events and gatherings, some as far as Utah. There is plent of hiking, camping, and outdoorsy fun.
